The acceleration and speed are so high that the rotor slides on the aluminum foil due to centrifugal force.
For those who do not yet know this experiment it is an homopolar motor. The battery is short-circuited. The magnetic field of permanent magnets and the magnetic field generated by the current passing from the tin foil interact, causing the rolling of the battery

This is my first video on this kind of homopolar motor

Why in a bubble? Someone has made a video similar to this in which it shows that the rotation of the motor takes place by holding a magnet close to the motor … it is impossible, because it would really be free energy. In reality moves the rotor with an air flow. Placing the rotor in a bubble would no longer be possible with the airflow trick.

Free energy does not exist, the title of this video is absolutely provocative. The energy that moves the rotor in my experiment comes from my hand that through the magnets transfers energy to the rotor.
Anyway I think it’s an interesting magnetic experiment, please let me know what you think in the comments.
I know that many people will insult me in the comments accusing me of being a liar about free energy, I hope the people read the video description before commenting

With this experiment I want to prove that it is possible to convert light energy into kinetic energy without the need for solar panels and electric motors.
The objective is to move a piece of pyrolytic graphite in levitation using a beam of light.
It seems the tractor beam of the science fiction movie

Here is a list of materials used:
Laser Safety Glasses: http://bit.ly/2juC5dD
Mini Engraving Machine: http://bit.ly/2iBPmg6
Strong Block Cuboid Magnet Rare 5mm: http://bit.ly/2iwQGpp
Neodymium Magnets Cubes 3mm: https://www.supermagnete.com/W-03-N
Pyrolytyc Graphite : https://www.youtube.com/user/AVAMagneticlev/

Graphite
The pyrolytic graphite is the material that has the most intense diamagnetic properties. Thanks to diamagnetism graphite can levitate on North-South chessboard grid of neodymium magnets. Graphite is an excellent conductor of heat, so if hit by a laser beam immediately warms changing the diamagnetic response at that point, this causes the movement.
The graphite production is the most difficult part of the experiment because must have a thickness less than 50 microns. The pyrolytic graphite, as seen in the video to easily divided into “sheets” but to achieve a thickness of 50 micron I had to consume it with fine sandpaper, with the constant risk of breaking or pierce it.

Magnets
I tried several dishes of levitation, made with magnets of different sizes. I believe that the magnets with smaller work better for this experiment because minimize the resistance of the magnetic field between the files of the chessboard.

This amazing discovery was made by the Japanese researcher Jiro Abe

This rotation is really fast. I do not know how many there are RPMs, some suggest me a method for determining the speed of rotation?
The principle of operation is always that of the classic homopolar motor , but in this experiment are able to reduce to a minimum the friction and the speed increases quickly.
To build the rotor I used 3 balls neodymium 5mm, a cylindrical magnet 4x25mm and a disc magnet 3x20mm .

I thank my magnetic friend Cobrakiller2000 for the concept. Here his original video
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eQfYXVse90c

For this experiment i have used Duracell Rechargeable battery
http://amzn.to/2mcLGHQ
